Update from the IFS Team

Dear Friends,

As you’ll notice, we have updated our logo and website! Much more than a desire to “refresh” our look, these changes result from a nearly two-year process of client surveys, meetings with business consultants and coaches, and a lot of introspection. Thank you again for your input and role in this process!

Our clients confirmed some of the benefits they receive from our partnership, including greater peace, clarity, confidence, hope, and security. These values resonate with who we are and what we strive to offer. Our new logo reflects this: the arcing line conveys confident momentum, and the rising sun speaks of the hope of a new day and light that can bring clarity and peace. Click our logo above to visit our new website and read more.

Another outcome of this two-year process was a clarification of our core values. These are the things we are committed to that help guide everything we do at IFS:

  1. Act as financial stewards. We have the passion and discipline to protect our clients’ long-term goals and desires. This means that we act in the best interest of each of our clients at all times.
  2. Bring financial peace. We want our clients to live fully and pursue their dreams without stressing about their financial futures.
  3. Build lasting relationships based on trust. Every day, we have an opportunity to earn trust with each other, our clients, and our community. We want to ensure our clients feel informed, confident and appreciated. We want to be known for our character and integrity.
  4. Remember that Money isn’t everything. We believe that “Wealth = Relationships + Time + Money.” We will often discuss matters that are not related to finances to help our clients thrive as people, spouses, and parents.
  5. Pursue growth and learning. We grow as a company when we grow as individuals. We look for opportunities to improve everything we do, including our own abilities.

More than ever, we are so grateful to come alongside you on your journey!

How to Create a my Social Security Account

Budget woes over the years have forced the Social Security Administration to cut back on its mailing of benefits statements. Only those who are both 60 or older and who have not yet registered for an online SSA account receive Social Security statements.

This article will give detailed instructions on how to create and access your online SSA account.

Combating FOMO in your portfolio

Every day, we’re bombarded with companies’ and news outlets’ reports of what’s hot and what’s not, which can fuel the “fear of missing out” (FOMO) on a great investment opportunity. But a diversified portfolio is still the best way for you to maximize returns while minimizing risk.
