Update from the IFS Team

Dear Friends,

We hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the first few weeks of Spring! 😊

Included in this edition:

Q1 Market Commentary – Global equity markets had a pretty good first quarter – especially the tech names. The themes that drove market performance in the first quarter continued to center around inflation, the Fed, and the labor market since recent inflation numbers hinted at a potential decline while labor market numbers remained strong. The other big theme this quarter was the failures of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank. These factors suggest we may be near the end of the Fed’s interest rate hikes.
